Market Day-Aix en -Provence! This is me excited about getting to shop on Market Day! I think I was asking my husband if this made me look fat! What can you expect trying on clothes on the street over all your other clothes!
As you can see I was not the only one trying on over your clothes. At most of the vendors they only had a small mirror. It was hard to know what size to buy. I ended up having to have the outfit I bought taken up when I got home.
This is me back home in my "French outfit."My husband was so sweet on Market Day. I draped him like he was a coat rack with my shoulder bag, large camera, scarf and jacket so I could slide the racks and try things on. As we were leaving to go to dinner he asked me wasn't I going to wear my "new french clothes?" I changed as fast as I could even though they were a little big. In fourty years of marriage I don't remember him asking me to wear a certain thing. You better believe I was happy to change and will hold that comment very dear to my heart.
Hope you enjoyed the fashion show. Other Provence posts:
I can't believe those hats!!! AWESOME!!!! I haven't seen much of those here!!!
I'm still trying to go to Paris before we come back in September. It's SO MUCH cheaper to fly there from here and I could never afford it back home..........at least not this year.........
Bonnie you look lovely in your french outfit. Your photos are great, again you really catch the atmosphere of a market. I love the stylish ladies necklace. I can't believe the way they display things, you would know it's in France! Love Linda x

ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for linking up to this week's Wayfaring Wednesday.
You should link up a new French travel each week as I so love France. :)
I traveled there with teenage boys and a husband... you can bet I never got to go to market, let alone try on any clothes.
ReplyDeleteLoved looking at your pictures!
